Will my admission get rescinded if I drop a non-required class?

I am currently taking a Public Speaking class that was required to fulfill the “Golden Four” for the CSU’s I was applying to (Sac State and Sonoma State). I also applied to four different UC’s and noticed that Public Speaking isn’t a required course for transfer. I recently got accepted to UCSC (which is my dream school) and I am wondering if I my admission would get rescinded if I dropped the course. My counselor said I should be fine since I have completed my IEGTC requirements and have more than 60+ units without my Public Speaking Class. However, I am still freaking out because this is my dream school and have been wanting to go since I was 17 years old. I plan on calling an admissions tomorrow, but I still want to see if anyone has a similar experience as me.

Should probably ask a counselor at UCSC! Although with the COVID-19 stuff right now I doubt it’ll do much harm considering it’s not required at UCs

It should not be a problem at all. But email admissions and ask. But really, it should be fine.
