I have submitted my application for the Early Action deadline, and I am applying as a musician interested in vocal performance. I have already auditioned for the conservatory, in person doing voice, and I was told I was accepted (on the spot, I'm VERY happy about that!).

I was curious if this could possibly increase my acceptance chances into the university? I have been told by an admissions counselor that the different departments can sometimes persuade or influence the admissions committee to try and fit in applicants, as best as they can, into the university.

Does this seem plausible? I am a male tenor, and I have been informed (by alumni, and people related to Chapman) that being accepted at the audition is very good. I am not trying to come off as pretentious - I'm really sorry if I am! I just want to know if this is something I could hope for!

Thanks for your input :)

Note: Also, could my status with the conservatory also affect financial aid? Or is the financial aid committee totally independent of outside influence?
