Will my dads legacy help with my admissions?

GPA UW - 3.4
SAT - 1150 but took one on October 6 so I don’t know what I got yet
Solid ECs (2 sports, 2 clubs, club officer, volunteer work)
Work Exp - summer business internship, paid coach
I want to study business but am going as an undecided applicant.
Essay - reviewed and edited by 3 English teachers
6 Honors/APs
1 academic excellence award

A legacy could provide a slight bump at some schools (I didn’t look up BU’s policy) but it won’t get you into a college you are not academically qualified to attend. The class profile for BU is here: http://www.bu.edu/admissions/why-bu/academic-profile/

You have another post asking if your brother attending a college will help you get in when your academics are below par for the school. I strongly recommend you focus on YOUR achievements and YOUR academics (not your father or brother’s) and seek out a group of reach/match/and safety schools that appear affordable and that you would be happy to attend…

A 3.4 and an 1150 SAT makes BU out of reach.

I was a top student at BU years ago, my son was waitlisted by College of Engineering.
He did well in HS, and is attending an even better engineering school.
So no it did not help, unless you think waitlist is an accomplishment.
