I have a 3.796wholelotmorenumbers. Will that be rounded to a 3.80? My college only reports to the hundredth. It won't round down to a 3.79, will it?

Additional Details: This GPA has NOT been posted yet. This is what I have calculated. The GPA posted does not include this semester’s grades yet, for they haven’t been posted. I know my grades, though.

I believe it is rounded and not truncated.

Totally depends on the college whether they round or truncate.

Most colleges round to the hundredth in my experience. 3.791-3.794 would round to 3.79, and 3.795-3.799 would round to 3.80.

I can’t say that I’ve ever heard of a college not rounding, but it’s certainly possible.

I’m sure it will be rounded up. Also, one little hundredth is not going to be the determining factor

Most colleges round. But unless you have a scholarship or something that requires you to have a 3.80 or higher, whether you have a 3.8 or 3.79 is not going to matter.
