I’m an international student and I’ve applied Early to Yale. My SAT Subject Tests were scheduled for November 3. But because of political unrest in my city, the CollegeBoard website listed all of our test centers as closed. Now, at 11pm the night before the test, the Facebook page of the US Educational Foundation in Pakistan says the tests are back on. Because early deadlines were the 1st, I was really depending on the 2nd for prep. But today has been wasted because we were told the test was shifted two weeks and I’m going in relatively unprepared. If my test scores are low, is there a way to tell Yale the circumstances when I report them? Or should I just not send them?
Whether or not you choose to send your scores is up to you (personally, I would). But own your scores. “Explaining” circumstances is just excuse making.
Yale does not require subject tests. If you don’t like your scores, don’t send them.
