Will my SATs benefit me?

<p>Hello all!</p>

<p>I am applying as a transfer student for Fall 2013. My understanding is that, as a transfer student, sending in my SAT test scores from high school is optional.</p>

<p>My overall score is 1700.</p>

<p>I cannot remember exactly how it breaks down, but writing is approximately 580 (give or take 10 points) while math and reading are somewhere within 540-570 with math being higher.</p>

<p>So, as I asked in my post's title, will my SATs benefit my chances at being admitted?</p>

<p>Well… a 1700 overall is below average for the UW.</p>

<p>I dont think your SAT would matter as much because college care about how you are doing in college and in the present rather than something in the past</p>
