Today I took three SAT IIs. My Mom had asked me to text her if it was running late because she was very busy today, and since I can't drive I needed a lift. On top of that, I was supposed to give a lift to another student whose parents were out of the state and had no way of getting home otherwise. Anyway, during the break period I took out my phone to check the time, and before it even turned on the administrator saw it out and started yelling at me. I put my hands up (really, I know it seems lame, but I actually acted like it was a crime scene), and showed her the screen of the phone, which was only on the start up "Enter your code" screen (I have an iPhone). I told her I'd turn it off and then she continued yelling, didn't let me turn it off, and took it. Now, my phone is in German, so she couldn't have used it or checked anything, but I explained that I hadn't heard the announcement and assumed that because I was in between three completely separate tests it was ok.

They filed an irregularity report, but I have no idea what it said in it. What do you guys think will happen?

they will investigate the case and if they see an irregular boost in your score, then might cancel your score…

and *** is wrong with djsash… He said he has an Iphone so we can understand what his phone’s screen looked like at the time… Why would he want to say it for no reason?

Well…I probably got 800s on all the tests. I thought they were the easiest tests I’ve ever taken. I took French, Spanish, and Literature, and I’m nationally ranked in French, I’m at C1 level in Spanish, and literature…I just thought the test was easy. I guess this won’t help my case…

indianguy94, djsash probably thinks I’m trying to show off or something. Not like having an iPhone would be anything to show off about, but that’s the tone I got from his post.

Nice name btw. Its better that you were taking subject tests, but
You will probably be investigated, and getting 800s might indicate cheating (I’m not criticizing your intelligence). Most likely they didn’t indicate the status of your phone on the report and they will treat this the same as someone with an iPhone on home screen. If it was in the process of turning on then you might get some slack.

Why didn’t you lock yourself in a stall before you took your phone out?

I don’t know - I’m an awkward person and didn’t think of that. I mean, I wasn’t doing anything suspicious or wrong in my eyes so I didn’t see the need to hide away. When I got the phone back it was off, and I’m sure the proctor didn’t know how to turn it off (she’d have to know first to hold down the button to turn it off and then slide “Ausschalten” across the screen), so that may help considering it shows I wasn’t in the middle of a text or anything.

Oh and thanks about the name XD. Do you speak Norwegian or Swedish?

For some reason I can’t edit my post so I’m going to just make another post. Sorry for double posting!

The thing that worries me most about this is whether or not I’ll have an opportunity to send in my scores to colleges if I decide to apply anywhere EA. The next time I can take the SAT is Nov. 7, and as you probably know EA is due Nov. 1. I’m sure I can get just as good a score or better if I didn’t get an 800 the next time I take it since I work really hard at these subjects, but I’m worried about the time problem with college apps.
