Ok, I took SAT1 yesterday... and my phone's chore reminder went off during the test. Cant believe this happened to me cuz I'm not really a cell addicted, and I did turn off the phone's cellular function. It was just not entirely powered off. At first they took my test, but then still let me finish it. It was about 11, section 6. After the test I kept asking how likely will my score be canceled but both the proctors and CB support service didnt gimme a clear answer and told me to wait. Anybody know like how many % will that happen? I need to make the decision whether to register again quickly. Thanks in advance!

If your proctor let you complete your test, he/she cannot cancel your score. If your score is cancelled, you should ask for an explanation because proctors are supposed to dismiss the test taker IMMEDIATELY and then cancel the score when cell phone goes off.

Same thing happened in my room. Kids phone went off in the last section and the proctor didnt know what would happen

all proctors are supposed to EMPHASIZE the turning OFF of a phone, rather than turning the ringer off. if your proctor did tell you this, and you STILL did not turn off your phone, then i hope to god that your scores get canceled. (sorry, but what about turning OFF cellphones do kids not understand?)

I understand your dissympathy, but the situation is complicated. The (un)smartphone just coudnt be completely powered off except for taking out the battery… Yeah, and to be specific, it was a Palm Treo pro.
I had to drive for almost 1 and a half hour to the test center, came there 15 minute late. The phone was somewhat off, I was convinced that would be fine. Then the chore I set up some time in the past went off. Just a small beep but enough to get me in trouble.

he/she was probably too lazy to fill out the paperwork, apparently there’s a lot involved with a score cancellation. the proctor probably decided it wasn’t worth the trouble.

when I took the ACT my proctor fell asleep and some girls phone went off durng the exam and everything was fine
