Will My Scores Make it in Time?

I just sent my SAT and ACT scores to my two early application schools (UPenn and UMich) about 5 minutes ago. I figured that waiting until now wouldn't be a problem since the shipping is electronic, and I want to see my Oct 6 scores before sending them to decide whether I wanted to send them at all. Little did I know that Collegeboard says the scores take 1-2 weeks to send, despite being electronic. ACT says it takes within one week to send.

Do the scores actually take this long to send? UMich states that if they don't have scores by Nov 1, they move you into RD, and I think Penn may just flat out reject me if they are not in on time. I feel like, with no real warning anywhere to send scores weeks in advance, that many students run into this issue, but I haven't found any reassuring responses. Can I expect my scores to arrive in time for the Nov 1 deadline?

My son had scores sent automatically today as they came out and was shocked to see the schools show they received them today. Sameday delivery. If you submitted your applications already, do these schools have a portal you can check for the status of your application? Many schools now give you passwords to logon and see for yourself if your application is complete. Go through all the info you received from the schhols to see if they gave you a way to log in and check your application status.

He had opted to send the scores before receiving them, correct? I’ve heard that collegeboard sends scores a few days before they are released when you choose to have them sent beforehand. I could be wrong though. You can check on the college sites or on collegeboard to see if they were sent, which is a bit of a relief, but I’m still worried they won’t make it in time.
