I’m curious as to whether Penn would accept a GED in lieu of a HS transcript.
It’s unlikely, but not impossible. A friend of mine matriculated at Penn with his GED. Granted, he’s mathematically brilliant, and he’s now at MIT for his Ph.D in math.
I emailed Penn Admissions and they wrote back to me this afternoon with the following response:
“We accept applicants who have completed their GED on a case-by-case basis. It depends on the maturity of the applicant in addition to the other application requirements. We do not require a high school transcript but we do need to see the certificate indicating that you received your GED from whichever program.”
Didn’t you write in another post that you’ve already been accepted to LPS and are attending this upcoming semester? What happened?
