Will retaking hurt a lot?

I'm taking SAT II's on Saturday and, in short, I'll be surprised if I score in the 600s. I should've done the regular SATs again and taken the Subject Tests in the fall. It's not that I can't do the material; I just didn't have any time to study, and I haven't gone over the material in a while. If I review, I know I can do well, and I'll be able to review over the summer if I take them again in November. Will this kill my chances at schools like NYU and GWU, though? Why do they HAVE to know that we retook them?

Edit: Might've jumped the gun with this post...but lemme get one thing straight. I signed up for German, Biology, and Literature, and I only feel somewhat prepared for German. So theoretically, I could go in on test day, only take German, leave, and take Biology and Literature in the fall...and NO ONE would care?

colleges only take highest scores.

do ur best, u might surprise yourself

Really? I thought they wanted to know how many times you'd taken the tests. Taking only German might be better, though...less stress. I dunno.
