So for the past year I’ve been stuck in an AP computer science class, even though I tried to drop it first semester. After first semester, my grade was at a (very low) C. Honestly, I don’t like to blame things on my teacher, but in this case I really think my grade is because of my teacher. I’ve taken practice AP exams for computer science and received 5s or 4s on all of them, it’s just that the class at my school is so much more difficult than the AP curriculum. I also took the AP computer science exam a few weeks ago, and it was ridiculously easy for me. At this point, I’m in danger of getting a D in that class, even though I currently have a low C.
I am planning on majoring in math, but I’m in SAS honors at Rutgers for class of 2019, so I was wondering if they would be harsh enough to rescind my acceptance, for the only grade I’ve ever gotten that was below a B. If I pass the AP exam in that class, then will it change things?
Also, I have As in all my other classes, and I am taking 3 other AP classes this year. My weighted GPA, even after this D, will still be over a 4.0. Will this have an effect on anything? Please reply quickly, thank you!
