OK, I have applied SCEA, and therefore none of my senior year grades have gone in. I think I might end up with a B+ in AP Biology (Haven't had a B since sophmore year). I go to a competitive public school, ranked 8th in my class (out of 685), and my senior year schedule is as follows:

AP Physics C
AP Art History
AP Government
AP Biology
AP/GT English IV
Multivariable Calculus

As you can see, it is quite rigorous, and Biology has literally been raping me up the ass lately. IF I do get into Stanford this December as an SCEAer, and then by March I have to submit my mid-year report, is there a high chance they will revoke my admission if they see a B+ for AP Biology? What is the threshold at which they look at to determine whether a drop in the grade warrants revoking admission? Any ideas?

Ok, is this a sarcastic post or are you serious? I am just a bit worried because after all the did I work to fill out the application and everything, it would be a shame to lose it because of this.

None of us are part of admissions so we cant tell you anything. I personally don't think so but I'm not part of admissions, nor is bashi with my knowledge.

seriously a b plus will not get your application revoked. that kind of stuff is for like, if you FAILED or d'd a class, or if you got suspended, etc. a b plus will not get you revoked! good luck surviving your senior year! (that wasn't meant to sound sarcastic)

ive had four or five friends get into stanford and they all got C's 2nd semester, and a couple B's first.. basically if you're taking 6 AP's... just get at least half of them A's half of the B's... a B+ doesnt mean anything...

^Remember, it depends on the level of competition at the school and the grading policy of the school itself. There are some schools where a C is set at 69.5-79.4% and others where it is set at 80-85%. It varies.

I wouldn't worry unless you got a C. But even then, with your rigorous coarse load, I don't think it matters. I don't even think that Stanford looks at your first quarter grades until you get in. If there are any problems then they'll notify you and give you some time to get your grade up. Until then, chill out.

I'm going to be blunt. That was a very irrational question.

Honestly, you would be safe with one or two C's even. When you get a D is when you should worry. Anything C or higher, especially in an AP course, is forgivable.

How are you going to survive college if you get this worked up over one potential B?
