Will submitting ACT and SAT hurt college admissions?

Hello, I recently got a 32 on the ACT and a 1400 on the SAT, I was wondering if I should retake the SAT. The superscore for my SAT would be 1410 btw. Also is there a chance that submitting both will hurt my application since my SAT is considerably lower than my ACT? I’m trying to get into University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and maybe apply for some ivy leagues (I know it’s a long long looong shot but my parents are making me). I don’t want schools to think I’m stupid, and just got lucky on the ACT. I know SAT is the big thing right now, but I can’t help that I suck at it :frowning:

The ACT and SAT are regarded the same by colleges. Unless a college requires all the testing it is fine to submit the test you did better on (it looks like the ACT is slightly better but you can check online conversion charts for yourself).

I don’t think that submitting both would be a problem if they’re roughly equivalent scores, but the ACT is just as acceptable as a standardized test score. If the schools you’re interested in accept the ACT, then submit only the ACT! Not including your SAT score won’t hurt your chances.
