Will the ACT score report be mailed when I'm a junior?

I am a junior now registering for the February ACT. It asked me to list up to six colleges or scholarships in priority order. Is it asking me to do that so they can mail my scores out after i've taken the test? Will they send my scores out to the colleges I list even though I'm a junior or will they wait to send it until I'm a senior and when I've applied to the colleges?

It sends them now for free. It’ll cost $11 per school per score to send them when you’re a senior. That adds up really fast if you send multiple scores to multiple schools, so definitely take advantage of the free reports. They’ll still have the scores next year when you go to apply.

Wait, you get 6 free reports?! I thought we only got 4! Awesome! :)

I agree with what hatebeinsober said in regard to the answer to your question. I was just suprised and thought I would post. Sorry for not adding any helpful info.

“They’ll still have the scores next year when you go to apply.”

When you say they, do you mean the colleges will have the scores or will the act website have them? Will my scores be sent out automatically after I’ve taken the test in Feb even though I’m a junior?

The score reports will be sent after you take the test and colleges will still have them next year when you apply.

Yeah, they’re gonna stay on file with the college. To my understanding, anything you send to a school automatically opens up a file on their computer which stores your information over time when it gets sent. That’s why the timing and order of things you send doesn’t really matter because it get automatically compiled into the folder - so you can send SAT scores in, say, June of your Junior year, then send teacher recommendations in November, and then submit the CommonApp in January and it’ll all be reviewed in the corresponding applicant pool.
