Will the Cancelled Korea SAT May 2013 Tests Skew the June 2013 Tests??!!

We all know now that the May 2013 SAT tests for the whole Korea were cancelled due to wide spread cheating. Those people that got their score cancelled in Korea will have to retake the tests in June 2013. I am now extremely concerned that for certain subject tests for June 2013 such as Math Level II, Physics, etc that grade on curves, they will be skewed to the disadvantage of the US SAT test takers. This is because the Koreans will have abnormally high participation in the June test and since they usually score much higher than the US counterparts for math and science (hopefully not due to cheating!!!), the students in US that took the June tests will see lowered score due to curve grading for most SAT subjects.

I hope this is not the case, ie, the curves will not be skewed from the foreign students that took the SAT subjects. But if it is, I think this is a grossly unfair situation. A whole country participated in mass cheating (while suffering no consequences as they just turn around and do it again in June...) , and US students should not end up paying for it.

Rely upon your intellect, not a curve. Also, and far more importantly, the curve is decided by CB themselves before the test administration based on their perceived difficulty of the test.

They’ll probably have different tests than the US because of time zone (Isn’t that how it works?)

Yup exactly what the two posters above me said:

 1. They’re taking the international versions, so their curve is completely different from yours.

The curves are predetermined. You could take the test with a bunch of geniuses who get perfect or a bunch of people who get every single question wrong and you would end up with the same score.
