Will these grades hurt me for Columbia graduate program

I'm an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science and possibly in History. I will begin my sophomore year of college in the fall of 2010. As of now, I have a C+ in Physics (Calculus based), C+ in Calculus 1, B in Chemistry 2nd semester (meant for Chemistry majors), B+ in Chemistry 1st semester (meant for Chemistry majors), B+ in Calculus 2.

I know these schools, known for their government program, are very picky about Cs and Bs, but will having those grades affect me if I want to sign up for their International Relations program when the appropriate time comes around?

SIPA likes folks with a strong quant background, so i’d say probably the C+ wont help.

but more than grades - SIPA likes students to have real world experience. so consider the fact that if you pull up your grades, get a cool job, and get great references and can write a strong personal statement you stand a chance.

i think i saw somewhere that the mean age of students at the school is like 28.
