Will these midyear grades kill my acceptance to top 10 schools?

(1st quarter/second quarter) i slacked off

AP Calc BC - B+/A
AP Physics C - B+/B+
AP English Literature - A/B
AP US Gov't - A/A
AP Macro Econ. - A/B+

Business Economics - A/A+
Orchestra - A+/A+ (YEAH what now =P)
Gym - A/A+

I'd take 3 B's over my C any day.

No. TEN CHARACTERS.

wait couldn't you at least your Calc, English, and Econ grades back up to an A if you get an A on the midterm?

No way. TEN CHARS

How about these grades?

A.P Composition - 90
A.P Micro-90
A.P Calc AB -88
Linear Alegebra/Differential Equations - 90
Bio Projects - 88
A.P Chem -85

I am only aiming for a top 10 LAC and a top 40 university (Pomona and Boston college)

i'm in a similar situation, i might end up with 2 B's (AP english + Ap german) for the semester (the probability of my getting A's on second quarter and midterm if very small, and that's the only way I can get an A)

Honestly, I don't think they'll care that much as long as you're challenging yourself, which is what we all did.

Allrite , my schedule is challenging right? And i go to a top 20 hs so you can only imagine how much work i get per night.

yeah it's pretty challenging, it looks a lot like my junior courseload except the higher math/ bio projects were replaced with pre-AP courses.

wait are those your final semester grades?

this are my senior year courses final quarter grades.

midterms are not reported in time for admissions

The fact that you won't go below a 3.4 UW (this semester only) means you are probably okay at most schools. Only the top Ivies may be concerned--but this is unlikely unless you go below 3.5 both semesters of your senior year.
