Hmmm.. Very opposite to most

Yeah, with all these threads worrying about mid-year reports and OMG B+'s, I was wondering what ya'll think of my situation. I've made roughly A-'s/B+'s for most of my high school career, which has landed me with a class rank of about top 6%. However, for my first semester of senior year, I took 6 AP classes, and I... tried. So my mid year report looks like this...

AP Physics C: A
AP Calculus BC: A
AP Macro Econ: A+
AP French: A+
AP Comp Sci AB: A+
AP English Lit: A-

Boosted my class rank to top 4%(BIG public school).

Do you think these grades could play a significant role in my admissions decision at such prestigious universities such as Cornell, Stanford, MIT.. etc. (good test scores, ecs, and essays btw). Also, have you heard of anyone who was accepted to such schools with a similar situation to mine?

I don't think it'll make much of a difference at all.

At top 20s, you're pretty much EXPECTED to earn straight A's or very close to them.

If you were on the fence at any of those schools, the mid year grades will help.
