Will these SAT II scores keep me out?

Assuming I have a great GPA (4.7 W 10-12 grade, 4.0 unweighted), a great SAT score (2340: 800 W, 800 CR, 740 M [or actually... should I retake the SAT? Getting a 800 in math would superscore me to a 2400]), and great ECs (national awards and leadership positions, etc.), would these SAT II scores keep me out of Columbia?:

770 Math II
760 US History
650 LIT (taken twice and I'm going to major in English Literature)
670 Physics

I'm also an Asian female, if that changes anything. I guess the reason I'm freaking out is because 1) There are SOOO many other qualified applicants out there with just the same amount of quality ECs and essays, just as high GPA and SAT test scores, and higher SAT II scores which means my SAT II scores would be the only thing that would hurt me and potentially reject me. Does that make sense?

We’ve been through this insecurity with you before. I believe that Columbia now has score choice – see other threads on this forum. So, if that is true, can’t you just plan to send in your best scores (Math II and US History) and stop worrying??? If not, send in all your scores and stop worrying. They DON’T care if you are going to be a lit major, OK? Two SAT IIs in the 700s are fine. Really, just get a grip! Either apply, or don’t apply. At some point you just have to calm down. I mean…how will you handle a high pressure school like Columbia if you are always going to freak out???

No, if everyone has similar scores, what will get you rejected are terrible essays and sub-par teacher recs. Were I you, I would start on essays and drop this test score mania. You are not seeing the whole forest because you are so fixated on individual trees.

So, to answer your question: no, this does not make sense!!! Let the scores go – all of them!!! And move on to essays. You know, start seeing the forest!!!
