Will this "discrepancy" between recs and essay hurt me?

In my common app essay, a very small part of my essay (it was an example) talked about how me and a few other classmates led a class event. I didn't really emphasize the being a leader part, because I only used the example to show how I'm not afraid to be opinionated.

But, I just realized that in the teacher recommendations, the teachers have to rank the students on certain qualities. I am definitely not the first person you think of when you say "leadership", so I'm a little worried colleges will see this as a discrepancy. Like, I'm portraying myself as a leader, but I'm not actually. In my essay it was a very small part and, as I said before, did not emphasize the leadership part at all.

And the bigger concern would be a far larger discrepancy.

What do you mean bigger concern?

An essay written about something that happened in class is a dud.

It shouldn’t matter.

It wasn’t about something in class, it was just a small part. And thanks

OP, the way you described this, it just isn’t something to worry about.

Would anyone be willing to read the small part of my essay that I’m worried about?

smh

You’re going to have an ulcer one month into college. I don’t mean to make light of your worrying but you really have NOTHING to worry about.
