<p>So me and my friend have a really great idea that we want to patent. Unfortunately, if I start the patent application process now, I probably won't be accepted/denied until after I send in my college apps. If I put, "applying for patent" or "patent pending" on my resume, would that help my chances at all? If not then I will probably wait for next semester to do this when I have more free time. Thanks</p>
<p>If you have nothing else to write on your app, then write it. That'll make for a very interesting topic for the interview and/or the personal statement. Otherwise, if your ECs are already very healthy, I wouldn't bother.</p>
