<p>Just wondering what impact this will have on my application. </p>

<p>I just finished a Certified Nursing Assistant Course at the local CC. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this job, you provide direct patient care (although basic). Many of my classmates had taken the class in order to accumulate patient contact hours for graduate school. </p>

<p>I will be certified in a month and a half whereupon I will get a job as a CNA. Does this have any significant impact on applying to selective schools?</p>

<p>If you are applying to a nursing program it would certainly help. Are you applying to grad or undergrad programs? What schools?</p>

<p>Undergraduate. And I’m looking to go to med school down the road. Probably a major in neuroscience. Schools like Washu, UPenn, Duke and the like. </p>
