When it is time to start applying to college, I am looking into the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. I would like to enroll in their dual-degree program, and will apply Early Decision. However, I made a terrible mistake this past year, my freshman year, by not having an honors courses. I tried my hardest to get in the classes, but the school and my mother thought it would trigger my anxiety too much. I got A's in all of my classes, except for one B+ in Art. I worked very hard in these classes, and my teachers said I was already performing on the "honors level" even in the regular course. I had an estimated GPA of around 4.0. I am taking all honors for my sophomore year (Math, Science, History, and English). Another issue I have is with the honors at my school. All honors are offered for both freshman and sophomore years, but during junior year, there is not an honors math course. Senior year has the same issue, and they also don't offer a science honors. To make matters worse, my school only offers 3 AP courses. There are some online, but they take up too much blocks in the schedule, and I wouldn't be able to fit in my other courses. My school has a low ranking, and it is not very popular. I am also wondering if that will affect my chances. I feel like colleges sometimes judge based on the high school you attend.

So I'm not really sure if this is a big deal or not, but I just feel like it will completely destroy what little chance I might have had. :( I am also involved in a lot of extra curricular activities in the school and I am joining some outside of school, so I'm hoping it may compensate somehow.

I apologize for the long post, but I just needed to vent and get some insight from people who can actually think straight.
