I'm an international student (Australia) who is hoping to be a swimming recruit in a few years. However, I am (/modestness) rather smart and so skipped sixth grade, so in essence if I gained acceptance I would be starting college at 17. What makes this worse is I am a late developer - I'm a 15 year old guy who's 5'8, 118 pounds - so I probably won't hit my peak till well into college.
I have exemplary academics, but I'm just wondering, will coaches account for this at all or look solely at times?
