Will this SAT score negatively affect my odds for getting into MIT

Haha, I said negatively affect my odds instead of hurt my chances because I think it's kind of trite...anyways...

I took the SAT for the first time June 3 and got a 2110
Math: 700
Critical Reading: 700
Writing: 710 with a 10 essay

I plan on taking the Math II, Biology and Chemistry subject tests in the fall.

I've looked on college board and my scores are quite a bit lower than MIT's median, will this in any way affect how the admissions office will consider me and would it be a good idea to retake?

I don't have too too many EC's, Captain of the Cross country team (i'm not that fast, about 16:30 for 3 miles), I compete on the debate team when I have a chance and I should have obtained my eagle scout by the time I apply to MIT. I'm also AP scholar with distinction after this year (my junior year) woo woo, 1 test away from national ap scholar. I also give old people in my neighborhood sponge baths (just kidding)

Anyways Im not going to go cut myself if yall tell me I need better SAT scores; I would just like to know if I need to prepare to retake it. Right now I'm looking strongly at MIT or Rice, both difficult to get into from what I've read. Thanks for your time/advice.

Several students got in (and post here) with 700 math scores, etc. To be completely honest, if you have a 700 score, it's not really going to affect your admission one way or the other. If the rest of your application is amazing, they'll go "eh, his scores were a bit lower, but we don't admit using numbers so he's in." If the rest of your application doesn't convey what they're looking for, an 800 score couldn't have saved it.

Don't worry about it. I mean, if you have free time, go ahead and try again, but if it comes down to studying for the SAT vs. working on meaningful projects and essays, choose the latter.

AAAGh...i missed 4 freakin' questions onmath and got a 710
:(
