I currently attend NJIT for Computer Engineering but due to circumstances I’m transferring to my local CC for a semester (or two) and looking to transfer to Rutgers instead of going back to NJIT for various reasons.
My goal is to go to a high ranked graduate school for research and I’m leaving my current school with a decent GPA (3.5). My plan is to do really well in CC and transfer to Rutgers, but I was wondering because I’m going from NJIT → CC → Rutgers will that hurt my chances at one of the top ranked graduated schools like MIT or any of the Ivy Leagues?
I know I can maintain a high GPA at CC and Rutgers eventually. I’m also trying to get as much work/research/internship experience as I can before graduating. And I’m most likely going to work before I try for graduate school.
I know I’m thinking ahead before anything has even happened yet but will my undergraduate academic history hold me back because I’m basically going to attend 3 different schools even if I manage to maintain high GPA (3.8+) and high GRE scores?
