Will use of overly-used examples such as Great Gastby affect score?

<p>SAT time writing and say I choose two examples.. the more common ones like the Great Gatsby and maybe the Civil War</p>

<p>^will the readers see that as overuse and grade my essay lower? o-o</p>

<p>@medicsz they are perfectly fine to use… on my last 2 actual SAT essays i used cliche books, like the Great Gatsby and Brave New World, and got an 11. I know it’s not a perfect score, but it’s obviously better than a single digit.</p>
