Will W&M rescind?

I recently received a "C" in adv. pre-calc for the fourth quarter. I also have a "C" for third. These grades are NOT for lack of trying -- the material simply got so difficult halfway through the year that I was spending hours on it and still doing poorly on tests. My end of the year grade will still average to a "B".

I do not have a penchant for math, and W&M knows this. I plan to major in English or History.

Should I be really worried here? Thanks.

i don't claim to have any relevant knowledge in this area but common sense would make me believe that your admission to w&m won't be rescinded.

When I originally applied to W&M, my grade in physics dropped from a B to a C+. I ended up with an 85 for the year in that class. They are not going to rescind your admission.

one grade falling (not even to a 'C', no less) will not put you in any danger

Thanks everyone -- you have no idea how much more relaxed I feel reading those replies.

What about a W????

dropofwater, I searched for you on thefacebook.com but didn't see you there.

what do they know about the course already? I would think if the want to question the 'W', that they would contact you and ask for you to explain why it is there, and assuming you give a satisfactory explaination, you should be fine. =)
