Hello, anyone’s two cents on my situation would be appreciated.
I am a sophomore at a CA community college and have applied for transfer to a handful of UCs and CSUs as a business major or whatever equivalent major is at that school with a 3.45 GPA. I am all set, just waiting to hear back in the next couple months. The three schools I am most interesting in attending would be UCD, Cal Poly SLO, and SDSU. My issue is that I’m struggling with my second semester calc class, and am considering dropping it with a W. Dropping the class wouldn’t put me below the required 60 units needed for transfer, and all my IGETCE requirements are filled out. Also, most of my major prep is done for the schools I mentioned above.
The problem is that I have already submitted all my supplemental applications. The calc class is only a major requirement at UCD, but upon contacting each of the before mentioned schools, they all said dropping the class could impact my chances of being admitted, or having any acceptance rescinded. If I drop this class, are my chances of being admitted significantly lowered? Thanks in advance
