Nice! Good looking car!
There was a shiny red with black trim RAV4 hybrid across the street from our house. It looked very stylish and new.
How is the rear and rear side outward visibility?
If it is as bad as it looks based on the shape of the windows, how good are the driver aid / camera systems?
After two months and 3000 miles I can say we LOVE our Bolt. Besides the electric stuff, it is also very easy for my husband, who has mobility issues, to get in and out of. We haven’t taken a long road trip but did do one where we needed to top it off to get home and that was easily done by charging when we went to lunch. Now I’m wondering about solar panels to offset our electric usage. . .
It’s my husband’s car. Can’t really answer that. And we’ve only had it for 2 days. But lots of cameras and no complaints so far.
Is that a Tesla report that says Teslas are safe?
Did you bother to open it? the site is called “notateslaapp.com”! Its amusing when the news feel it necessary to report one vehicle accident. Some Thoughts On Why Mainstream Media Reports On Every Tesla Crash But Doesn't Care About Violent ICE Vehicle Crashes - CleanTechnica
That’s like saying “driver had cruise control on during crash.” Since Tesla doesn’t have a self-driving feature and requires a driver to keep hands on the wheel and concentrating on the road, it sounds tragically like driver negligence.
Oh yawn. People know there will be some foolish drivers who put something on the steering wheel to mimic the weight of a hand. They deserve the Darwin effect.
I did, and I clicked on the imbedded link to go to the Tesla generated report about how safe their cars are.
Sure, you can do these hacks with all the assisted driving systems that most car brands have now. If someone wants to be a reckless idiot who endangers their lives and others, they can. Just like some people drink and drive or use their phone while driving. None of those conditions are a fault in the cars.
But, to your point about cruise control, people don’t turn it on and take their hands off the wheel and scroll though their social media.
Sure, but drunk driving and phone use aren’t $15,000 options available on their vehicle.
