A car? When did you get one?

Hey all,
My parents bought me a car when I became a senior. I have 2000 Ford Focus.
What about you guys?
Do you all have a car? What type and when did you get it(as a soph, junior, or senior)? Did you have to buy it wiht your money or did your parents buy one for you?

um beginning of senior year, 1998 toyota camry. regretted it ever since.

Gas prices are seriously putting a dent in my allowance.

Yes, I agree.
Man, at least you had a Japanese car that take us much less gas as opposed to my American car that just drinks the oil. Ford.

I have an 06 Chevy Aveo.
I got it the beginning of the summer after junior year. My parents did buy it, but I pay for gas, and I'm not going to be allowed to take it to school in the fall, my sister will get it then.

I'm really going to miss it!

i have a 1987 lincoln, its my dads old car. i got it when i could drive.

Me + my twin brother saved up for a car (about 5k for a 03 Cavalier with 92k miles). We bought it half-way through junior year

I just got my Dad's old 05 Altima when I got my license.

I just got an '06 Civic a few weeks ago as a senior.

'01 altima as a sophomore. my parents bought a minivan, so they didn't need the sedan

It's almost the end of the year, and I still don't have a car. I'm thinking of saving some money and not get one until the end of my freshman year in college. :|

i got an 05 infiniti G35 before the beginning of my senior year

I turned 16 at the end of sophomore year. My parents bought me a car a month after I got my license. Got a brand new Jeep Liberty, but I did have to pay for half of it.

Yeah that's pretty nice. And I basically don't do any maintenance on it except for oil change, air filters, occasional car wash, etc and it runs just fine. I don't know how Toyota does it but their cars last FOREVER. Yeah ford has quite a bit to learn from toyota in terms of financial management as well as manufacturing, quality control and R&D.

Ford is just going downhill.
To make a duplicate key for Ford car, you have to take the key to the Ford dealership and pay them $85. You can't get it from anywhere else because it has a special chip in it.

Honda accord, when i was 17, sweet freedom baby....and it runs about 200miles on a full tank.

Volvo S80 T6, when i got my licence(when i turned 16). parents paid for it, along with gas and insurance

i have a '97 grand prix that i got a few months before i turned 16.

it was my counsin's car that my aunt bought him (used, of course), and when he went to college he couldn't use it anymore, so she gave it to me.

it's got 127,000 or so miles on it, and it's not in perfect shape, but it gets me where i need to go and i love it :) i pay for gas and sometimes insurance, depending on if my mom remembers to ask me for the money ;)

I got a 2007 subaru impreza junior year, i pay insurance and gas. payed 45 just to fill it up today :(

I got the family car the day I turned sixteen, sophomore year - a 2000 Chrystler Sebring.

I used my parents car too much so summer after sophomore year they bought me a '92 Chevvy Lumina. I loved that baby! Now they traded that in for my mother's new car and I got her '95 Jeep
