I’d love to hear from students at both these fine schools about what they like/don’t like. I’d also love to hear from graduates or parents of graduates about the schools’ reputations in the jobs market. My daughter is considering both schools with an environmental sciences/studies major. She liked the vibe at both and I don’t think either would be a bad place for her. She isn’t much into parties, but is outgoing, outdoorsy, works hard academically, is super friendly. She has some learning challenges and would probably do best in a place that was more nurturing. Because of that, her inclination has been toward Willamette because of its size. And while those two schools are first and foremost on her radar, could I throw Lewis & Clark into the discussion as well?
Willamette is more nurturing and Western Washington is known for its parties (although it’s large enough that you can find people who aren’t into partying + lots of people are outdoorsy).
Lewis&Clark seems “crunchier” than Willamette. Strong for the sciences, near a really cool big city.
