William and Mary ED/OOS?

<p>Hi everyone! i'm a junior at a highly ranked public school in MA, and I want to apply ED to william and mary :)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.2 weighted
this semester I have a 4.55, but knowing my luck my overall gpa isn't going to budge much!</p>

<p>Freshman year I took all honors classes
Sophomore: AP Biology, AP Euro, honors math, honors french and honors english
junior: APUSH, AP chem, AP Lang and honors french 4, honors pre-calc
senior year I am signed up to take AP Physics B, AB Calc, AP French V, AP Lit and AP Psych</p>

<p>Scores:
30 ACT (no studying, I'm re-taking in June!)
2000 SAT (690 W, 670 M, 640 CR) <retaking in october</p>

<p>EC's:
JV Tennis: freshmen/sophomore year
JV Field Hockey (frosh and soph year)
I stopped playing sports to get a job/focus on music!</p>

<p>Violin: grades 4-12 (private lessons, school orchestra, new england conservatory orchestras)
I've won the music department award at my school every year.
Piano: grades 1-12</p>

<p>Work: I tutor at Kumon 8-10 hours a week, all year. I scooped ice cream last summer, and I babysit tons!</p>

<p>Volunteering: I volunteer at a hospital 2-4 hours a week</p>

<p>Leadership:
Student Council
UNITE mentoring program
NHS Officer
Secretary of my youth group at church
I've won 2 awards at leadership conferences..</p>

<p>Peer Tutoring-I've tutored since 7th grade, I currently tutor 2 kids in different subjects!
Microfinance Club (a charity club I'm in)</p>

<p>I think you have a good shot, especially if the colleges give preference for ED. Your scores are in range, you have good ECs and you take loads of AP classes so assuming you write great essays, you should get in!</p>

<p>woohooo, thanks!! :slight_smile: They’re in range, I just wish they were higher in range because it’s much more competitive for us out of staters.</p>

<p>i think you have a good shot i am also a junior but i don’t go to a public i go to a competitive private school in ma but because of that i was not allowed to take as many pas because they requirements are so strict and you actually have to be selected by the department chair and its this long and drooling process so i have only been able to take 11 honors and 2 aps and senior year i am taking 3 aps. I also have played field hockey, every year in high school, i have done fours years of track and have got to state and new england competitions. I play the viola, violin, cello and piano. I am in five diferrnet clubs at school. i am hoping to get a 2100 on my sats and i am getting a summer interview. I think you should get a summer interview too especially if you are out of state. i already know in my heart that william and mary is the school for me so hopefully i will see you at william and mary. i think you have a great chance and good luck :)</p>
