<p>Most of the students don't care about Nichol. In other words, they are ambivalent. Of those in the student body who are vocal (about 20%), it appears that the pro versus con is split about 50/50 if the recent online petitions are any guide.</p>
<p>Gotta question those figures, MacSuile. If 20 percent of the student body is "vocal", that's approximately 1,000. To date, 38 current students have signed the anti-Nichol petition to which you refer. Contrast that with the 800-plus who have joined the pro-Nichol facebook group (some are recent grads, but the great majority are current students.) That's hardly a 50-50 split--more like 95 pro, 5 con. Even the most fervent Nichol bashers admit that the current student body does, indeed, care about its president--and that the great majority of the students hold him in high regard.</p>
