William and Mary Students Please help

I have chosen to go to William and Mary, but I am hearing mixed opinions about college life. I'm not a slacker, but I haven't worked up to my potential in high school. I've heard that William and Mary students work their butts off and still can't manage to pull of As.... I want to challenge myself, but that's taking it a bit to the extreme. Any current students have any thoughts? Please share them if you can, because I really need to be reassured about my decision!

it is hard to get a’s. you don’t have to work your butt off constantly but you do have to work and you are in no way guaranteed good grades just by breathing and going to class. i find time for socializing, working, and extracurriculars but i do feel stressed sometimes. some people are more obsessed about studying than others, though. there is definitely time for fun.

Yeah there is always going to be stress at some point in college life, I understand that. I chose William and Mary for several awesome reasons, but I have doubts from time to time. I’m definitely going to have to adjust and start working much harder in college, but it will be good for me. Is there a lot of stuff to do on or near campus?

Also, how is new town?

you will probably have better luck posting this on the W&M board.
