Williams Class of 2018 ED

My checklist disappeared too. I don’t think it necessarily means ‘denial’… I mean, they don’t make decisions that fast right? My counselor has yet to send in everything.
Questionaut, your scores are fine. Don’t worry too much. Everyone seems to have this ‘gone checklist’ issue.

I got the list a few days ago and it’s still available for me to view.

It is now back up for me.

Back up for me as well. Phew!

Mine too! Everything was received. Gluck guys!!! :)

Hi All,

Just wondering if everyone has “awaiting - mid-year report (due Feb 20, 2014)” on their checklist? I am assuming that this is just the default, correct? (Obviously, can’t turn in something that doesn’t exist yet!).

Yeah, I would say. I’m taking a gap year and already finished high school. My counselor has sent in the final transcript, but that Mid-year report thingie is still shown as ‘awaiting’.

Justnotsure- yeah, I have the same thing.

Did anyone here submit their 1st quarter/current Senior grades as of now?

Questionaut,

My child did submit first quarter grades. They were strong so the counselor said “send 'em”!

I am a parent. My son’s application checklist disappeared for a few days (I think) but it’s back up now. Mysteriously they are missing all the same things we know they have. (i.e. scores sent in September, ed agreement).

Wahwah, were your son’s materials showing as received before the checklist disappeared?

No, when he first logged on, the Williams site noted that several things were not yet available but said it was mostly because materials had not yet been matched and that they would be in contact if there was anything else needed. Several days later he noticed the list was no longer there when he logged in, and presumed that this was because all materials had been matched. He just logged in again the other day and the list was back, with all the same materials missing.

He has confirmed that they have been submitted, though.

I was experiencing issues with the checklist since only some of my items that were sent together were showing up. When I sent admissions an email I got response within the next 10 minutes and the problem was solved. So if you are still having issues send admissions a quick email, following the instructions on the portal and explaining your problem.

From today’s Williams Record:

[Early Decision applicants experience Common App issues ? The Williams Record](http://williamsrecord.com/2013/11/20/early-decision-applicants-experience-common-app-issues/)

Blueash, thanks for posting! Very interesting, including the hoped for date of decision release of Dec 12th!

Williams usually admits around 250 applicants from the ED pool. I hope they still keep that number despite the decrease in ED apps lol.

That’s a really good question- will they cut down on acceptances with a smaller pool? If they kept the 250 number it’d be about 45 percent.

Still, you have to think that every one of those 550 applicants is exceedingly bright. Most people don’t know Williams off the top of their heads and the vast majority of people applying ED have either sought out the school for its academics or have been recruited for athletics/race/legacy/diversity purposes. It sure will be an incredibly stellar class with all that going on.

Wish everyone the best of luck!

Is anyone out there having trouble accessing the link https://myapplication.williams.edu? I kept loading this page on both Safari and Firefox but the link does not seem to be working…

Never mind, I just received this email:
“Last night, you may have received an email with instructions on how to access your Williams Applicant Account. Please disregard that email.
Instead, please refer to the prior email you received acknowledging receipt of your application and providing login information for your My Williams Account.”

My son received the same emails. First, the email with account instructions and then the disregard email. Probably just a result of the new system they are using.
