Me-bad, when I say ‘last year’, I mean like last Dec when I applied for the Class of 2016 :)</p>

<p>Errrrr deferred… the letter said 250 were admitted and only 300 seats are left for 7000+ students. that defer sounds like a reject!</p>
<p>Williams generally accepts a little over 1000 applicants or so in their RD cycle. If you would still like to attend, you should send in supplements to indicate your interest in the college.</p>

<p>@njboysmom: I wouldn’t read that deeply into it. For most schools, admissions and financial aid are two separate offices - they don’t work together. Especially since Williams is need blind, they won’t be asking for your financial info just because they think your son will be accepted.</p>
<p>I received a similar request for documents on March 5 and now on March 12 I have received an acceptance from Williams College(Early acceptance to RD cycle for brilliant candidates), which is at least 20 days before the notification date.
I think your son too is going to receive an early RD acceptance.</p>
