Which of these three schools is best for premed?

I hear Haverford's med school acceptance rate is like 99%. Would W or A be "harder" for premed?

Stop worrying about acceptance rates. That is dependant on the student body, not the university. If you are that 1% of slacker at Haverford it isn’t going to make a difference that you went there. All three of those are excellent schools that will provide you with the research, advising, and organizational opportunities necessary to excel. The question you must ask is WHICH of them will make you the happiest while you do it. Go with fit. I went to a school that isn’t exactly pre-med central, but I excelled there because I loved it. The reputation of my university didn’t stop me from interviewing at almost everywhere that I could have dreamed of.

True, but schools like Swarthmore and UChicago are known to be all work no play, yet still offer these same amazing premed programs. Is W, A, or H known for grade deflation or inflation?

Thanks.

They have approximately the same average GPA as Harvard (~3.5). This might not apply to their sciences though, as this is for all undergrads.

My point never was that you should go where you feel that you fit, not go to a place where you don’t have to work hard. You are mistaken if you think that kids at UC and Swarthmore aren’t happy there. However, judging by your opinion of them I would suggest that you not apply there ;)

@ mmmcdowe, I know its off topic, but I registered @ SDN yesterday and saw your sig… and i HAD to comment on it. It… is… badass. I loved watchmen, and Rorschach was such a bamf… a+

Lol, thanks . That’s what happens when your only companions are ants for long stretches of time :D
