Just curious if there are any Williams admits who did not submit the supplemental essay. I suspect there may be a few, but not many. Also, curious among those on the wait list.
I was admitted and I did not write a supplemental essay. I instead spent the time to write a really good, imho, common app essay.
I was admitted but did not write a supplemental essay. Granted, I am a Windows on Williams Scholar and (imho) also wrote a pretty good common app essay. During one of our sessions in the program, one of the directors said that the supplemental essay was actually optional and not “optional.” It should be used to show a different writing style/interest/etc, they said.
