With the May 1st deadline to pick a school bearing down on me rapidly I'm kind of starting to worry alot about my choice. I've narrowed my choices down to Carleton and Williams but feel really torn between the two. I visited both schools and enjoyed both visits but didn't really feel a "click" with either one. I am undecided about my particular major, but have considered both a premed track or poli sci/ international relations. Any information that could help me decide or opinions?

LAC’s are like Baskin Robbins: 37 flavors, but they’re all ice cream. Some one likes mint, but someone else likes pistachio. They’re both green and the third person can’t tell the difference between them just by looking.

This is not a decision anyone outside you can really help you with. Each school will have its partisans.

I have never been to Carleton so I can’t offer any informed comparisons.

I will say this: My S loved (and still loves) Williams even though he is not a prep school kid, an athlete or a drinker.

Central to his decision were the mountains, the strength of the music program and just the fact that he felt at home when he walked on campus.

I’m sure there are plenty of students who feel that way about Carleton.

I think this is just a decision that you have to make.
