Can anyone tell me a bit about the Winsor School in Boston or Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA? I am interested in both schools. From anyone who knows, how difficult is it to get in as a junior for either of them? I know both are very different but I see both as great alternatives to my current school.

Also if you could describe the culture of the schools and the type of students that go there, etc.

I don’t know much about Thayer but I do know a lot about Winsor seeing as I applied but decided not to go.
Winsor is a highly exclusive private school in Boston near to the Longwood Area. Most students enter in the 5th grade though there are a few who enter in other grades. It has a reputation for turning out knowledgeable and ambitious girls (many enter the Ivy League) , however it is also known for having many “mean” girls (possibly because they are so competitive). The girls of the school are also very diverse. Best of Luck!

Thayer has a middle school like winsor does. it is in the ISL and is competitive in a lot of sports. i have a friend that is involved in their theater program, and from what he says it seems like they have a good theater department. i dont know about their academics, sorry :/
