Winter 2015 Transfer

I sent in my transcript electronically from my colleges that I attended. One out of state college had sent it out and BRoncoDirect claims they received it. But they still haven’t received my one instate college campus. The deadline is in 2 days and I had resent the document twice. I spent 3 dollars per transcript and the StudentCenter still shows that I need to submit one transcript.

Im just gonna come out and say it, but I believe that everyone in this chat got accepted to cal poly. If they had to deny you, you would have been told by now.

@Jayen426‌ I dont know if this is necessarily true. for Fall of 2014 I had waited till almost June to find out i was rejected. In that case though, I was applying for an impacted major… Do you happen to know anyone that has been rejected for Winter? All in all, i hope that you are right!

@thach47‌ i dont know anyone that didnt get accepted in winter.

Does anyone start the application for fall 2015? >.< Really don’t want to do it, but i am really out of patient!

Hey guys. Im starting to get annoyed and worried just like all of you even though we are applying for winter transfer to non impacted programs what do we have to worry about??

I looked at the Winter 2014 transfer thread from last year and it looks like most people were getting accepted in November

<a href=“Winter 2014 Transfer - #76 by cheryang18 - Cal Poly Pomona - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cal-poly-pomona/1524425-winter-2014-transfer-p6.html</a></p>

I think we are all still good lets not worry :)

@WillyMisfit‌ Good to hear that, then let’s wait till November!

And deadline for app fall 2015 for both UC and CAL STATE is by 11/30, anyone know it? Thanks

Yes, it’s true @Jayen426‌, the rejected peeps are actually the LAST to know. I didn’t find out I got officially rejected until May this year when I applied for fall, when everyone else had gotten accepted and attended orientation in March and April. I do think that if we got requests for our transcripts that it’s definitely a good sign, because when I got rejected I never got asked for my transcripts and my status just kept at “application received” until it finally changed to denied.

@kencalpoly84 thanks for that map, that is the best one if I’ve seen. I called orientation services and they said we didn’t need official transcripts as they already have them since being accepted. Just to bring the unofficial transcripts. I asked about where to meet because I haven’t received an email about meeting location and they said it was the Bronco Student Center, building 35 in case anyone was also wondering.

@Reneeday thank you for that information. It confirmed important details and is very helpful. Here are the details directly from the CPP email that I think will help for tomorrow’s Orientation:

Check-In & Parking:
Check-in will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Bronco Student Center (Bldg. 35) - I am planning on getting there much earlier.
The parking permits provided to Orientation participants are only valid in the Parking Structure (bldg. 106) for the date listed. - Bldg 106, according to the map, looks super far away from Bldg 35, so allow for walking time.
For your convenience, we have included a parking permit to this reminder.
Check-Out:
After you are done with advising, please submit your advising verification form to the 4th floor of the CLA Building and take your Photo ID on the 2nd floor of the CLA Building.

Hope that helps. I can forward the email if anyone would like it and doesn’t already have it.

GPA: 4.0
Major: Business- Accounting
Original School: Riverside Community College

Still only says “Application Received” on my admission status. I’ve already been offered a provisional admit for Cal State LA in the spring, but I’d rather get into Pomona. It’s pretty surprising how long the admission process takes, but I’m sure we’ll all get in!

Fyi, I was doing my final check for Orientation and just wanted to put this out there.
On the CPP Transfer Orientation FAQ site:

How long is the transfer orientation?
Transfer orientation is a one-day program from 8 a.m to 6 p.m.

GPA: 3.45
Major: Business - Management
Transfer College: Cerritos

It looks line no one from Business has been accepted. Glad I got accepted at Long Beach right away which was my first choice anyway. I do keep checking my status at Cal Poly and it hasn’t changed from “Application received” and none of my transcripts processed even though I turned them in the next day after they were requested. Their process is extremely slow and frustrating. Glad I stopped stressing after I got cleared from Long Beach. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

How’s it going everyone and congrats to those who are one step closer to being accepted ! Just wondering, has anyone here applied for the plant science major and been accepted ?

I had applied for spring 2015 at cal state la and i just got accepted, my main school is cal poly and i have orientation tomorrow, should i pay my ecd just for hell of it???

I wouldn’t pay the ECD a for LA yet @Jayen426‌, hopefully the next couple weeks everything will be settled with pomona and you’ll feel more secure in your admission.

Anyone hear anything??

@Hbkelly After giving up on getting admitted, I got a call from them on Friday asking me something regarding my transcripts. My transcripts got cleared right after I received their call. I guess just be patient because they are abviously very backed up and are still working on it.

@Hbkelly‌ not today. Someone mentioned at the end of last week that they were digging through the last years winter acceptance thread and said that a large number of people were getting accepted in the first and second week of November. I’m still keeping my hopes up, after all, we’re all still applying for non impacted majors. There really shouldn’t be a large number of people getting denied, unless you really don’t reach the minimums…

@CaliGirl213‌ @thach47‌ yea I guess you guys are right, this is just crazy!!
