Winter 2015 Transfer

@WillyMisfit‌ that’s wuseful thinking. I would like to think that way too, but can’t be too optimistic. While non impacted, yes, for majors such as my own, only pomona and cal state offer winter quarter admissions, and coincidentally those are the only two cal state schools aside from long beach that offer the major in SoCal so for me, there may be less of a chance to get in since it’ll probably be more competitive. :frowning:

@Hbkelly if you dont mind my asking, what major are you going for?

@WillyMisfit‌ nutritional science, dietetics. What about you?

@dezryth‌ Exactly, my registration for next semester for my current school is November 13th and I really did not want to register but it seems like I have too since Pomona isn’t working out. And I wanted to try and live on campus at CPP but now I’m sure the wait-list is just building up making it impossible to get a spot,

@QatJack‌ what school are
You at currently? Another cal state??

@Hbkelly‌ physics

I don’t know what happen to Cal Poly…it seems no one got accept after 10/7. It shouldn’t take that long, and other CAL STATE are already done with it. It looks like they pause the process, don’t know what to say but to hope.

@Hbkelly‌ University of La Verne

Oh okay cool @QatJack‌ I hope you get in. I’m wondering if it is harder to transfer from university to university, vs. community college to university.

@Hbkelly‌, its much more difficult for me :-S

Really? How so? I’m worried if I start at another cal state in January and then try to transfer it’ll be harder. Junior transfer? @QatJack‌

Mine is the same they received my first transcript in a week after sending it then i sent my second one from my other school since then nothing has been updated for me and i sometimes feel they have never received it and i freak out.The only thing that shows my application is incomplete and No holds yet and my transcript still appears in ToDo list. So frustrating

So my status has not changed. So I finally called on admissions. The lady asked if I did all my to do list. I told Her that I never had anything on my to do list. Not even submit transcripts. She was very surprised because transcripts were due September 30th. She told me to send them in right away, so I did. I told her that I was waiting on cpp to let me know when to turn them in, she said i was correct in doing so and that it must be a glitch on the system. So I seriously doubt I’ll be getting in. I wonder if I should just pay for the orientation and enrollment fee as a just in case.

@myko81‌ Im surprised she told you to send them since they tell you not to, unless they ask. I wouldn’t worry about it yet, CPP is obviously way behind on the process. Just goes to show you, you can get totally good or totally bad info from them just depends on who picks up the phone that day.

@WillyMisfit‌ Would you mind me to ask you what is your GPA?

@Yakisaka I think I am at 3.2 are you going for physics too?

@ciamariee11‌ Does anything change on your status? You have a very high GPA, and none of us got status changed, how about you?

@WillyMisfit No. Hospitality is my major. They are all non-impacted major, we should have a lot of chances.

Thought this might be helpful for folks going to the Orientation in 2 days. For me, this is the best map of the campus.

@Yakisaka No, nothing has changed for me. Still says application received.
