Winter Formal or SATs?

I'm not in this situation, but I was just wondering what CC people thought.

I had this situation with our ball (prom) last year may.

But the SAT was in the morning. And the ball started at 7.30pm.
I just bought my dress and stuff quickly, booked a time for hair and makeup, and studied.
There was a tiny rush to get my hair and makeup done before the pre-ball party.. But overall, not much of a big deal..

I think that it would be a bigger problem if the formal was before the day of the SATs.

Last minute cramming won't help you much; either you know it already, or you don't.

Thus, enjoy life and take the night before the test off. Who knows, you might even score better =p

I've heard that your performance on a certain date (let's say Monday) is affected by the amount of sleep you get 2 nights before (in this case, Saturday).

I would do both. One of my friends was in this situation, and pulled it off with a awesome score on the SAT's. Just like someone said before, plan and book all your appointments (if you're a girl) and it'll all be fine. If you're a guy...well..I imagine it would be a lot easier to get ready anyway.

primeminister, that's what my track/cross country coach always says

My date at my junior prom left early for the June SAT IIs. It left me feeling very odd.

funny, i dropped my junior prom date off early because she fell asleep after a long weekend of studying for sat's and ap's. that left me feeling odd too.

did you go to winter formal last year? Do you really want to go this year? It's just a dance, not that it matter anyway unless you have a date or something. There will always be prom which is a bigger event.

I vote for SATs

I rather go to a winter formal. :] It's more fun than taking the SAT. :] Have a blast with your friends! >]

It depends. How much ass will you get at the winter dance? If you're just going to be dancing awkwardly all night with your hand on some girl's butt, then do the SAT. If you plan on getting laid, go for the dance.

Why not do both? Just don't stay out ridiculously late for the dance...I really don't think it would negatively impact your SAT score too much, unless you got home at, say, 4 AM. Last minute cramming wouldn't help you out all that much anyway. Either you know it or you don't.

No,
Getting laid (especially if it is many girls)>>>SAT
Getting rejected (or having a bad night)<SAT
Predict and act according to the situation-I agree with sooners.brian here.

Is that some kind of parody website?

I think so.

Although it probably is, sometimes the world is strange enough to not really know lol.

http://www.theantiprom.com/resources/testimonials.php are funny.

is that site a joke or what?

*"I don't know what to do. How can I find help?" - If you don't think that you are ready to handle your child's prom problem, seek professional help. Find someone at your child's school, a coach, a counselor, a member of your church, or a psychiatrist who is willing to help you through this difficult time. Sometimes there are support groups in your area that can help you with strategy and advice.
