Winter PWR

Hey, I just posted all of the winter PWR classes (except for the 9am ones, as I'm not interested in waking up that early), and would LOVE to get feedback from anyone who has taken any of these.

Also, if you had a good teacher (doesn't matter the course) let me know... I think it's pretty common for teachers to do PWR all year, just different courses.

Thanks so much for the help!

Rhetoric and Humanitarian Intervention

I did Rhetoric of Labor and Lifestyle with Melissa Leavitt this quarter. To be honest, it was kinda bland. The Community Writing Project thing is pretty interesting, but mine turned out to be more trouble than it was worth, and a whole lot more work. She's not a bad teacher or a bad grader by any means, but this class probably won't be one you're 'excited' to go to. Then again, maybe that's just determined by the type of people in the class with you.

Wow it would be awkward if Dr. Leavitt saw this post...

Also, I dunno if this is just my bad luck or whatever, but I was assigned to my 4th choice PWR. So make sure you construct your list carefully; don't assume they'll give you one of your top choices.

I am currently taking Rhetoric and Humanitarian Intervention during Fall. It has been awesome...the TF, John Lee, is amazing and very flexible in accepting research topics and setting office hours/meeting times. Of course, if the subject of the class does not interest you, it is best not to enroll in the class (this is a good policy for all PWRs, I believe).

The class is actually more about humanitarian justice than intervention...keep this in mind :)
