~~*wishes for chances at LACs*~~

I'll try to keep it short--please give me honest chances!

and my #1,

Brown

Obviously my awards, and to a lesser extent, my ECs, are pretty lacking for my reach schools. =(

Please chance me for all of the schools listed. Although I love Brown, I'd be super happy at any of them!

PS: Yes I have a safety school..

You have a better chance at Brown than P'ton, I believe. I don't think your EC's are terrible, but they are lacking a little bit. Beef those up a little big and I think you're golden for just about every school on your list (except for the ivies). And I say that not because of you, because your stats look great. It is just that the ivies are always hard to call.

More opinions please!

I'm really sad that no one will chance me =(

Kicharo, you are an excellent prospect for most of the schools on your list, but with top schools, it is impossible to give chances. You are in the league to aim big with your reaches, so go right on ahead. Make sure you know what your parents can afford for college and what the colleges feel they can afford so that you don't find yourself in a school that you can't afford. I suggest that you apply to all of your favorite schools but make sure you get a safety in your pocket that you like. That is the hardest part of college apps, that school that is most likely to take you that you feel good about attending. Once that is in place (and that search is not an easy one) apply to where you want. I would say you are very likely to have some good choices among those schools at the end of the year. Just make sure you are covered.

Students who like Swarthmore, Grinnell, Carleton and Oberlin sometimes also like UChicago and Reed. I think your chances are good at these, probably also at Macalester and Vassar. The others may be more reachy.

Thanks for the really good feedback/advice, vossron and cptofthehouse.. One last bump!
