With high test scores & GPA, how much does course rigor matter at "normal" schools?

Hi Everyone~

I am sitting here having this debate with DH right now, and hope you can help...

If you have a high GPA (4.00 UW) and high ACT score (32+), top 10% of class, Honors Diploma, and excellent EC's, how much will course rigor matter (taking 4 AP classes out of 12 offered) if applying to "normal"/match schools, such as...
Ohio Northern (Pharmacy)
University of Florida (OOS)
Ohio State
Ohio University
UNC - Chapel Hill (OOS)

I'm sorry to beat this issue to death, as I have searched and read other threads in terms of course rigor. However, they all seem to apply to HYPS and/or reach+ schools.

Thanks! :)

At UNC it will matter alot. At the others, I’m sure you’ll be good.

My experience is also with UNC Chapel Hill, where a friend attends. She got into the Honors program, and there is no question that the rigor of her coursework (and of course grades) had a lot to do with her acceptance. She is out of state, and she received very strong financial aid + merit.
