Withdrawal?

I'm considering withdrawing from my Calculus II class. It is not a requirement for any of the majors I'm considering or dedicated to, I'm not motivated to complete the homework, and my grade isn't fantastic. If I drop it I won't be beneath the required number of units. My only worry is, will a "W" reflect badly, if it's the only one I ever intend to have in my history? The class is neither helping or hindering me, it's just not something I'm interested in continuing (even though there are only around 3 and a half weeks left--other classes are becoming more intense and need my attention, too).

Hi,
Are you sure you’ll get a “W” – it may still be early enough to drop and have it disappear.
If you’re a freshman-- a “W” in an unrelated class is no biggie.

Another option- finish with a Pass/Fail-- all you need is a ‘D’.

Too late to do anything except withdraw per the CMU academic calender:

I would suggest contacting your academic adviser about the potential effect of a “W” in your specific case. It does remain on your transcript.
