<p>I've been told by teachers and counselors that it is better to take a W than a bad grade, is this right? How does it affect transcripts or chances of applying?</p>
<p>Hmm, tough question. I would probably agree with your teachers and counselors. It’s better to withdraw than to have a big fat “F” on your transcript. If there’s a chance that you can pull off a passing grade, though, I would stick with it and not withdraw. Help me out?
